Abstract :
Existing distribution transformer and operates already reached the hundreds of thousands and are so widespread, so it is not possible to perform periodic maintenance transformer considering the number of distribution transformers are very much and are so widespread. Therefore the distribution transformer should be designed to not maintained its operating lifetime. Age operation of a distribution transformer is expected to reach 20 years. In connection with this desire, the design of the distribution transformer must be able to meet these criteria are not maintained during the life of the operation (± 20 years). For that it is necessary to design the tank and transformer oil which can meet the above criteria. In designing the transformer is also required the optimum results so that the amount obtained as volume, weight and losses can be kept to a minimum. In general, to design the whole mass in to a minimum is very difficult. All these quantities are subject to changes in accordance with the ratio between the number of windings and iron core are used. In this paper will discuss how to design a distribution transformer so that it can meet the above criteria.
