Abstract :
Transformers are used so widely, that for electricity and electronics. The losses in transformer is a fact that couldn?t be avoided because it have a current. Because of harmonic, the current will be greater, so the losses will be greater too in the transformer and the heat can rise significantly exceed the upper limit of its temperature. By performing measurements on distribution transformers it can be seen that the distribution transformer harmonic currents arise that may increase losses in distribution transformers so this may impact on the capacity of the transformer (deratingtransformer). Derating transformer can be determined by the total harmonic distortion (THD).
