Abstract :
Busbar Protection is a relay that functions to secure a rail / busbar itself. Busbar arrangement depends on various factors such as system voltage, the position of the substation in the system, flexibility and reliability of service. Busbar arrangement consists of two busbar where there are inlet and outlet. The first is called the main busbar and the second busbar called auxiliary busbars or busbar transfer. Switch that can connect the channels or fixtures with the first and second busbars are usually called coupling bay. To cope in the event of a short circuit on the busbar protection relays installed. Relay protection on the busbar using the differential relay, where the relay type is further divided into two classifications, namely the differential relay high impedance and low impedance.
