Abstract :
Microprocessor course is one of the courses contained in Semester Learning Plan (SLP), in Indonesia it?s referred to RPS, at the Informatics Engineering STT-PLN Jakarta. However, most tool objects in the microprocessor course only display information in the form of 2D images and short text about the tool being displayed, so that sometimes a sample tool is needed to convey additional information. In addition, the limited tools available and the price that is quite expensive for an example tool does not allow for students to view the details of the tool simultaneously. Research method that writers use is Research & Development (R&D) method. This research aims to design and build an application that can provide added interactive visual information with Augmented Reality technology based on Android smartphone. Augmented Reality technology is capable to join virtual world object that is 2D or 3D with real world within one system. Other than that, Augmented Reality Technology have potentiality to provide more detailed and interesting so that the information that is provided is more interactive and innovative.
