Abstract :
The possibility that the system cannot serve the load or the needs of electric power customers is expressed by the loss of load probability (LOLP) index. LOLP illustrates the size of the opportunity to lose its load as a result of the lack of available power in the system. The possibility of unfulfilled energy (Expected Energy Not Served, EENS) in the system occurs due to disruption of the generating unit which involves a large amount of power and a long time of lack of energy. The purpose of this research is to make it easier to calculate the reliability of the plant using the LOLP and EENS methods. For this study, researchers used a descriptive method to meet the analysis of the research. Because researchers focus on the problems that exist at the time of research and this method is also widely used in the faculty of engineering. For this study, researchers will analyze and study the basics of Visual Basic 6.0 programming. Visual Basic is a derivative of the BASIC programming language and offers graphics-based computer software development quickly. Some scripting languages, such as Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and Visual Basic Scripting Edition (VBScript), are similar to Visual Basic, but they work differently. It is expected that the results of this study can be utilized as a material in the development of research related to the calculation of LOLP and EENS.
