Abstract :
In technological developments like today, electric power based electronic equipment is growing rapidly. But on the other hand, with the development of technology in electrical equipment based on electronics it has a bad impact on the electricity system. Non-linier load triggers the emergence of harmonics in the electricity system. With the presence of harmonics can cause power losses , heating on the transformer, which causes a reduction in the life of electrical equipment. Measurements in building using the Sonel 711 Power Quality Meter. The results of the measurements began at 07:00 pm to 09:00 pm. The value of total harmonic distortion in the KPU RI building shows that the value of the voltage does not exceed the standard while the value for the current exceeds the standard IEEE 519-1992. The calculation value of the average voltage is 2.0458 % and the calculation value of the average THD current is 5.2359 %. Where the standard harmonic voltage is 5 % and the standard harmonic current is 5 %.
