Abstract :
Electricity is a source of energy needed by humans. Electricity consumers include several aspects such as industry, offices, to housing. Distribution of electricity to consumers through specific stages. The substation is one place to channel electricity from power plants to consumers. In the substation, there is equipment that supports its performance, one of which is a circuit breaker (CB) at PT. PLN (Persero) GIS Alam Sutera. The device functions as a breaker and reconnection of the load current within a certain period. Maintenance performs simultaneity testing and measurement of contact resistance. Simultaneous testing knows how fast or slows the PMT can open and close when an interruption occurs. Contact resistance is measured in stages to determine the value of resistance in that contact. This value affects the power loss, loss of energy and the cost of electricity lost in the conductor of the PMT. This research was conducted to determine the effect of the value of contact resistance on power breakers. The method used is gathering references from several journals related to PMT SF6. The next stage is to calculate and analyze power losses, loss of electrical energy and costs incurred with an assumption of 1 year. The resulting power loss (kW2h) in 2017 is phase R = 5.0581, S = 5.0581 & T = 5.3743 in 2019 phase R = 2.3825, S = 2.3825 & T = 2.3414. Energy losses (kWh) obtained in 2017 phase R = 2.53, S = 2.53 & T = 2.69 in 2019 phase R = 1.19, S = 1.19 & T = 1.17. Lost costs for 2017 Rp. 11,354 and in 2019 Rp.5,214. So after the calculation, the comparison between the test results with the calculation of data analysis and find out the losses generated by the contact prisoners in each power breaker.
