Abstract :
The electric power system is planned to have to remain reliable in normal circumstances and when a disturbance occurs. Generally at the Bali subsystem the transmission line using double circuits. With the break one of the circuits it is expected that the other circuits can still transmit power continuously. One method for evaluating the reliability of transmission systems can be done by contingency analysis (N-1). A contingency is process caused by a failure or extrication from one or more generator and/or transmission line in electric power system. Due to the disconnection of one of the transmission lines it can cause overload on the other transmission lines and changes in voltage on the bus. In this study, it explained the contingency caused by the transmission line disconnection that occurred in the 150 kV Bali subsystem in 2019. The method in this study uses quantitave methods. With a planning simulation using the Newton-Raphson power flow method in the power system simulation software, it can be seen that there are three lines which exceed the nominal current carrying capacity due to contingency (N-1) on Antosari ? Kapal lines that is 106,5%, Banyuwangi ? Gilimanuk lines that is 100,3% and Gilimanuk ? Negara lines that is 111,3%
