Abstract :
A Power Plant is expected to always be in an optimal condition to supply electricity. Loss of power resources to Power Plant can result in outages (blackout). To avoid equipment damage, the Power Plant requires an electrical system consisting of an essential bus with engineered system features of security, and emergency power sources as supply voltage. There are essential loads that support the safety of the power plant with the supply of battery voltage. Interference can cause the essential bus to lose voltage. The calculation of the essential load and essential bus voltage, can be determined whether or not and how long afford essential bus supply voltage to the essential load. From the results it can be known the impact with the greatest effect is the failure of lubrication and from the calculation gained essential bus capabilities on the GT-1, GT-2, and GT-3 is 2.069 H (2 hours, 4 minutes), while on ST 4A is 1.482 H (1 hour, 28 min) an ST 4B is 1.495 h (1 hour, 29 minutes).
