Abstract :
Electricity is one of the most important needs in life. But sometimes in its distribution often experience a wide range of disruptions that could harm consumers. For that it needs to be held maintenance and also maintenance on electrical appliances, especially on transformers. Because transformer is a tool that has an important role in the electrical system. So on the transformer must be installed a safety so that inside the storage can later function properly. One way is to put up a security that is the safety of rele bucholz that serves to detect and secure interference in the transformer that raises gas. The Gas itself arises due to a short circuited to transformer. In this thesis will discuss the large work flow rele bucholz on the transformer based on the results of the test result well. The research method used is the literature method and interview method. The calculation results of transformer short citcuit are 2290,636 A (1?-N), 1984,063 A (2?), 2290,636 A (3?)
