Abstract :
Coal-fired power plants have a dominant role in producing electricity in Indonesia, about 60%. This is because the cost of production of coal-fired power plants is the cheapest compared to other thermal power plants. But on the other hand coal-fired power plants produce the largest air pollution compared to other thermal power plants. Therefore there is an effort to reduce this air pollution by using Electrostatic Precipitator. In this thesis we will discuss how the working principles of the Electrostatic Precipitator and the efficiency that must be met. This efficiency affects the emissions content which has been determined by the government. Likewise, the factors that affect the efficiency of the Electrostatic Precipitator at the Indramayu PLTU will also be discussed. The methodology used in preparing this thesis is a quantitative method by direct observation at the PLTU Indramayu, West Java.
