Abstract :
A good electrical system is a system that can be relied upon at all times and there must be a voltage source at all times. In an absolute generator there is an electrical system to supply the loads needed by a generator to operate or start. So the smooth supply of power is the main key to the reliability of the electrical system in general. So the importance of the blackstart system at the generator to maintain the continuity of the electric power system during a blackout. The blackstart generator unit is a generating unit that can be operated from a stop to full load without the help of external electricity supply. Technically the generating unit that can do blackstart is PLTA, PLTD, PLTG and PLTGU. If there is a blackout, a generator that has blackstart facilities can help large power plants to resume operations. To start up, it takes an emergency diesel generator to supply power to the part that needs voltage, the power needed for start up is around 1.5 MW which can only run one gas turbine. This blackstart system can be maximized because it requires a shorter time than waiting for the availability of power from outside.
