Abstract :
Muara Tawar Gas Power Plant BLOCK 5 uses a synchronous generator as a medium for mechanical energy conversion from the rotation of a gas turbine to electrical energy. Synchronous generator that is operated at Muara Tawar Gas Power Plant Block 5 has a caacity of 180 MW/135MVar. The purpose of this analysis is to determine the temperature of the rotor winding is within the limits of the generator capability curve and the ratio of losses incurred. Due to changing loading patterns that change so that it affects the increase in rotor winding temperature. The collection process by collecting company data and managing it again to get the safe limit of the rotor winding temperature based on the generator capability curve. Obtained from the curve of the loading pattern is very influential on temperature. So that the increase in rotor winding temperature is very influential on the losses incurred at a temperature of 117°C reaching 10% higher than the temperature of 105°C.
