Abstract :
In the electric power distribution sistem, there is a medium voltage feeder that is useful for distributing electricity from the substation to consumers. But in conditions in the field, feeders frequently get interference, one of interference is short-circuit current. Therefore, to protect the interference, a protection sistem is needed that meets the requirements of sensitivity, reliability, selectivity and speed. To meet these requirements, the protection settings need to be set. In intermediate feeders, it is often used over-current relay (OCR) and ground fault relay (GFR), and at the SKTM type network is also used as CBO so that feeders can be secured and the network can be separated when there is interference. In this thesis uses quantitative methods, and we will discuss Gesper feeders at Kembangan Substation, where the feeder consists of OCR, GFR and 2 CBO protection. CBO protection is used and coordinated with OCR and GFR relay on incoming and outgoing feeders. Due to the existence of the protection sistem, there is a need for selective protection coordination, to improve the performance of the protection sistem. The results of the settings obtained at Kembangan Substation for Gesper feeders short-circuit current 3 phase at incoming OCR tms = 0.279, OCR outgoing tms = 0.459, CBO1 tms = 0.363 and CBO2 tms = 0.206. At 1 phase short-circuit to ground GFR incoming tms = 0.426, GFR outgoing tms = 0.314, CBO1 tms = 0.207 and CBO2 tms = 0.103.
