Abstract :
The use of ceramic waste as a substitute for fine aggregate because of this waste can cause damage to the environment, for example if the chunks of ceramic waste disposed randomly into the river, there will be sedimentation, resulting in silting the river that will cause flooding when the rainy season comes, ceramics will be difficult to overgrown by plants, so that when the dry season the environment will experience drought and dust can pollute the air. From these problems will be conducted research on the utilization of ceramic waste as a substitute of fine aggregate in mixing K-225 concrete. The concrete test specimens are 15 x 30 cm in size and planned according to SNI 03-2847-2002, FAS value 0.47, slump 80-130 mm, mixed proportions there are 5 variations of normal concrete mix, ceramic waste mixture with variation 5% , 10%, 15%, 20% ,. Test parameters are slump test, concrete compressive strength and concrete tensile strength. For test of compressive strength and tensile strength of concrete done on days 7, 14, 21 and 28. The use of ceramic waste as a substitute for fine aggregate turns out to increase the compressive strength and tensile strength of concrete. The highest compressive strength value is concrete with 10% wastewater ceramic variation, which is 233,82kg/cm² ( 19,41Mpa ) while the normal concrete compressive strength value is 228,04kg/cm² ( 18,77 Mpa ). And for testing The highest value of tensile strength is concrete with 10% of ceramic waste, which is 23,09 kg/cm² ( 1,92 Mpa), while the normal concrete compressive strength value is 20,45kg/cm²( 0,17 Mpa ).
