Abstract :
Electrical energy is a supporting energy for all the facilities needed for human activities. The transmission line is used to distribute electrical energy from the power plant so that it can be used by consumers, so the safety in the transmission line must be protected. The transmission line between the Muara Karang Lama Substation - Angke substation is installed current differential relay as a safety (main protection), and for back up relay installed OCR and GFR. This research was conducted to review the protection system on overhead line between the two substations, and compare them with the calculation results. From the calculation results, obtained Is1 = 0.065 A, slope 1 (K1) = 20%, Is2 = 10 A, and, slope 1 (K2) = 50%. And setting for back up relays, OCR = 3,3 A (standard inverse) and GFR = 0,6 A (standard inverse).
