Abstract :
Transport infrastructure is growing rapidly to resolve traffic jams in Jakarta. Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Jakarta which is a rail-based transportation become one of the solutions to resolve traffic jams. MRT Jakarta was operate with phase 1 route Lebak Bulus ? Bundaran HI and will be continue construction of MRT Jakarta phase 2 Bundaran HI ? Kota. So it is required capacity planning of traction substation. Traction substation (TSS) is special substation to supply power to the train through overhead catenary system (OCS). To determine the capacity of traction substation,supply distance between traction substation ,output power trains, and peak load are needed. Then, resistance of OCS also needed. from the calculation, the capacity of TSS are needed for Monas TSS is 3282,5758 kW and 2987,0911 kW for Kota TSS. Beside it, power losses from OCS is 22,8706 W with resistance of OCS 2,1541×10-5 ?/m from feeder wire H325sq.mm X 3, messenger wire AL-T-bar conductor 2456sq.mm,and contact/trolley wire GT110sq.mm.
