Abstract :
Electric energy is the main energy that is used almost all sides of life. In the distribution of electrical energy, good service is needed for consumers. If a disruption of excessive load and is allowed to continue to take place can damage the equipment, short circuit disturbances can occur between phases (3 phases or 2 phases) or 1 phase to ground and can be temporary or permanent in nature. A good electrical network performance is also required for a good protection system. One of them is Over Current Relay (OCR) and Ground fault Relay (GFR) which is used as network system protection. This relay works against overcurrent, it will work if the current flowing exceeds setting value. In this paper will discuss short circuit current, which is the shortest phase 3 biggest phase is 12740,64961 A and the short phase 1 phase to the largest ground is 953,5616 A. Setting time used on OCR 0.2134 seconds and GFR 0,2786 seconds on the incoming side and setting time on OCR 0.1967 seconds and GFR 0.1194 seconds for the outgoing side. For comparison of pln results and the results of the incoming side calculation and outgoing side are still in the right condition, so that overcurrent relay settings and relay ground disturbances are correct.
