Abstract :
Each electricity centre requires electricity for its own use. The installation on the usage itself is used to run generating devices in generating steam in the PLTP. Before producing steam obtained from transmission through the self-use transformer, there is a large disturbance in the trip generator unit, there is no voltage available to run the auxiliary devices in the PLTP in order to restart. In such a situation it is necessary to send voltage from outside the electricity centre or within the electricity centre, there should be a generating unit that can start itself (black start) without any external voltage. Large disturbances that occur are three-phase short circuit interference. Short circuit interference on its own use there are three conditions, namely, when supplied from the transmission or system, the generator is supplied and the generator is supplied to the transmission or system. With a three-phase short-circuit fault current value of 265110.756 A, 56154,187A and 152993,239 A. So that protection using overcurrent relay is used to secure self-use power transformers or self-use installations from disturbances, especially three-phase short circuit interference. For safety, interference with short circuit protection is required. Protection coordination between NFB and VCB for overcurrent relays. So that overcurrent relay protection against self-use installations can work selectively.
