Abstract :
In an increasingly sophisticated era and the proliferation of technological developments, the public's need for electrical energy is increasing. Therefore, it is necessary to have electrical equipment that can meet the community's needs for electrical energy, namely transformers. To be able to maintain the quality of the transformer, it is necessary to maintain the components of the transformer, one of which is the maintenance of the transformer. To find out the feasibility of transformer isolation, insulation resistance testing and applied voltage tests are carried out, these tests are carried out on transformers that are still of good insulation quality with those that have experienced a decrease in insulation quality. For insulation resistance testing and applied stress testing using the IEC 60076-3 standard. Based on the results of the tests carried out, transformers that have experienced quality degradation have a small polarity index value, namely on the primary ? earth side 1.5, secondary ? earth 1.1 and primary ? secondary 1.1. After testing the applied voltage, it was found that the transformer that experienced a decrease in insulation quality had a leakage current of 10.5 mA on the primary side and on the secondary side of 17.2 mA, this can affect the performance of the transformer and can even cause damage to the transformer.
