Abstract :
Indonesia is located in a disaster prone location where various types of natural disasters.
Action research related to disaster management is to disseminate information on the
possibility of disasters and evacuations. The implementation of PLTS can also function
as a source of electrical energy that can help in the event of a disaster, especially in the
field of communication which is in accordance with the research that will be discussed
regarding "Planning for the construction of PLTS Off-Grid 10 kWp as a Source of Radio
Energy for BMKG Communications Pangandaran" The method is carried out
quantitatively and also qualitatively. The components are 8 solar panels with
monocrystaline type with 300 Wp power, 1 inverter with 3000 W power and use 12
batteries with 200 Ah 12V storage capacity and 2400W Solar charge. Off-Grid PLTS used
in BMKG Communication radio has a capacity of 10,680 kWh. With the amount of energy
that can be generated per year is 3734.169 kWh/year which has an initial investment cost
of Rp174,134,592.00 with a Payback Period period of 14 years. The Performance Ratio
obtained is 85%. So based on this, the planning for the construction of PLTS Off-Grid as
an energy source for the BMKG Communication Radio can be said to be feasible.
