Abstract :
Based on the monthly meeting, energy losses in 2022 were in the last 3 months at PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Menteng, which experienced energy losses of 6.97% in February, 6.68% in March, and 6.74% in the month of March. April. According to SK Dir No.217.1-K/IR/20005, the standard for the distribution of UP3 Menteng is a maximum of 3%. There are two factors that cause shrinkage, namely technical losses and non-technical losses. In this case there is a non-technical loss caused by the quality of the measuring equipment that is not good, one of the tools in measuring electrical energy is a CT (current transformer) or current transformer. The CT used when energy loss occurs is CT with class type 0.5, which in the process of its use has a large energy loss based on the results of the assessment obtained. So the method used in this research is to re-test the error ratio CT type class 0.5 by using a CT analyzer based on the IEC 6004-1 standard. The test results for the class 0.5 CT ratio error, a minus sign appears, meaning that there is an unmeasured current. Based on the results of these measurements, it is recommended to replace the 0.5 class CT type with the 0.2S class CT type which has a smaller error ratio. To get a comparison of the energy of the two CT classes, the current measurement error, power error and energy error are calculated with a loading of 1% to 120%. Based on the results of the energy error calculation, at 100% load the 0.5 class CT is -884.85% and the 0.2S class CT energy error is 139.48%, the difference between the 0.2S class energy error and the 0.5 class energy saving error is obtained. on each loading and on average get a saving of 434.57 kWh per month.
