Abstract :
The Gresik ? Krian subsystem is one of the subsystems in the East Java electricity system.
In this subsystem there is still an Inter Bus Transformer (IBT) that does not meet the
criteria for conditions N-1 or N-2, so that if there is a disturbance or trip in one or more
IBTs, it can cause the operating IBT to be overloaded. To overcome this, a defense
scheme is implemented, namely the OverLoad Shedding (OLS) scheme. OLS is an action
as a result of overloading the IBT by removing some of the load on the IBT in the form
of a 150/20 kV power transformer or disconnecting the conductor bay. In its
implementation, OLS is carried out in stages to maintain system stability under load. After
performing the OLS simulation on the Gresik 1.2 subsystem with spliting configuration,
IBT 1 Gresik was saved from overload in the third stage, which was 428 MW with a
percentage of 89%. In the Krian 1.2 subsystem spliting configuration, the Krian IBT 1
was saved from overload in the 3rd stage, which was 432 MW with a percentage of 89%.
In the Gresik - Krian subsystem with a looping configuration, during the trip IBT 1 Gresik
and IBT 1 Krian, IBT 2 Gresik was saved from overload in the third stage, which was
442 MW with a proportion of 92%, while the IBT 2 Krian was saved from overload in
the third stage. 4, which is 346 MW with a proportion of 71%. During the IBT 1 and 2
Gresik trips, IBT 1 and 2 Krian were saved from overload in the 4th stage, each of which
was 337 MW with a percentage of 70%.
