Abstract :
The distribution of electric power has several problems, including voltage and current harmonics.
Harmonics is an event of formation of waves with different frequencies that result in damage to
electrical equipment if it lasts a long time. In this thesis, measurements of harmonisa voltage and
current in transformer-1 of Sekolah Pelita Harapan are carried out because of the use of nonlinear loads which result in the output wave voltage and current have different characteristics
from the input wave which is referred to as distortion. The non-linear load on the school's
transformer-1 consists of energy-saving lamps, electric motors, computers, and devices
containing inverters. THD voltage measurement data were obtained at the time of the maximum
condition of each phasa, namely: phasa R of 2.67%; Phasa S by 2.83% ; Phasa T by 2.87%. The
THD voltage does not exceed the applicable standard value of 5% (IEEE 519 ? 1992). The THD
value of the current at the time of the maximum harmonic condition in each phasa, namely, at
Phasa R is 28.6%, phasa R is 23.83%, and at phasa T is 32.74%. Ifreferring to the standard used
which is 8% (IEEE 519 ? 1992) the THD value of the current gets a bad result. By using a single
tuned passive filter on order 3, the harmonics experienced a decrease in THD current from
17.10% to 5.875% so that it could meet the IEEE 519-1992 standard, which is ? 8% with the filter
content of 1,241H inductance, Capacitance of ,1,004?F.
