Abstract :
Generally, the load served by a transformer in the distribution system will be endeavored
to remain in a balanced condition, but in fact load imbalances still often occur. The
appointment of this title is to determine the magnitude of the influence of load imbalances
that often occur in distribution transformer at Komp. B.P.G UNP substation on the
reliability of the transformer. This study uses the observation method to obtain fault data
and transformer load data. In this study, the calculation of the transformer imbalance at
the Komp substation was carried out. B.P.G UNP fresh water feeder and found the load
imbalance in February was 28.3%, in March it was 30.6%, and in April it was 45.6%. To
determine the reliability value of the transformer, the Weibull distribution method is used
and after the calculations have been carried out on the transformer, is obtained the
average failure rate is 6.15077% per year which affects the reliability value of the
transformer. The value of the reliability of the transformer was obtained at 0.349676 and
based on the level of reliability of Cronbach's Alpha this transformer can be said to be
quite reliable.
