Abstract :
Solar energy can produce up to 156,486 MW of power, which is greater than other
renewable energy sources. Indonesia is a country that is located on the equator which
receives abundant sunlight every year. This study discusses how to plan the installation
of PLTS both in technical and economic terms, aims to be able to determine the capacity
of the components to be installed and the costs incurred to be able to install PLTS in
Auto2000 Suci, West Java and to find out whether the PLTS is feasible for use. developed
or not. The method used to be able to conduct this research is by conducting observations
and interviews. From the calculation of the planned PLTS with a capacity of 30.0 kWp,
the number of solar modules needed is 56 and the inverter used is 15 kW as many as two.
The power generated from PLTS is 42,223 kWh/year with a performance ratio of 79.9%.
While in the design using a helioscope, the power from PLTS is 36,483.9 kWh/year with
a performance ratio of 82.0%. The initial investment cost is Rp. 412,528,400 and based
on the analysis that this PLTS is feasible to develop because it can return capital in the
15th year to 4th day of the project's planned life of 25 years.
