Abstract :
The development of the PLC Control System on this cooling is to make a design innovation
that is better than before, especially in the Water Intake area. The design in this thesis is to
solve an existing problem, namely to complete the shortcomings in the previous design, for
example, keep the water in the intake canal maintained so that the condensation process that
occurs in the condenser continues. And also there is no need to use chlorine to intoxicate the
fish, which makes the fish unusable because it has been contaminated with chlorine. This
thesis was written to find out the working system of the PLC control system, to know what
the PLC control system is in the PLTGU water intake cooling system, and how to analyze the
PLC control system ladder program in the event of a failure or disturbance. The method used
is by design, simulation, and evaluation of a design. The PLC working system on electrical
equipment in the water intake is as a switch from a power circuit that is on an equipment. For
example, motors, pumps and others.
