Abstract :
The decline in the quality of electrical energy causes losses for both parties between the
company and consumers, therefore there must be action taken on the transmission network
to improve the quality of electrical energy, namely by compensating for reactive power in
the transmission network using SVC (Static Var Compensator) and Capacitor Bank . SVC
(Static Var Compensator) is one of the FACTS (Flexible Alternating Current Transmission
Systems) equipment that is useful for optimizing the ability to repair and optimize the ability
to transfer power on the transmission network. Here the author conducts research to find
out about the effect of installing SVC and Capacitor Bank on the flow of power and voltage
in the Subsystem through the ETAP 16 simulation. From the simulation results by installing
SVC and Capacitor Bank on Maximangando Bus with a Qc 25 MVAR capacitance, the
results show an increase in the average voltage value. each substation bus Subsystem of
0,710 kV and 0,875 kV. The increase in active power transfer for each subsystem
substation bus increased with a total increase of 7,704 MW and 9,271 MW
