Abstract :
The transformer serves as an electrical energy converter, making it a crucial piece of
equipment in the electric power system. Losses are the loss of some of the energy
produced, which lowers the amount of energy that can be sold to consumers and lowers
the profitability of the business. A good power infrastructure is required in the
Purwokerto area in order to manage the area's well-maintained electricity demand due
to the fluctuating nature of the electrical energy demand in Purwokerto. The goal of this
study is to ascertain the power losses of power transformers 1 and 5 at the Kalibakal 150
kV substation. A quantitative correlation method was utilized to carry out this study, and
thi. A quantitative correlation approach was employed to carry out this research, with
operating loads and losses being calculated as it was done. Transformer 1 has its largest
power loss in December 2021 at a value of 24.910 kW at 10:00, while Transformer 5
experiences its highest loss in November 2021 at a value of 58,817 kW at 10:00, and at a
value of 23.909 kW at 19.00. According to the findings, total loss increases with
increasing current and loading.
