Abstract :
This study discusses the use of Piezoelectric which is used as a tool to convert the
vibrating energy of the bridge into electrical energy which is placed on the bridge. The
bridge vibrating power plant is made so that no energy is wasted from the vibration of the
bridge that is passed by vehicles ranging from motorbikes, cars to trucks. Piezoelectric
produces small power because the output current is small, therefore Piezoelectrics are
arranged in series and parallel so that the power generated is greater. The piezoelectric
used is 27mm in size with the resulting voltage is a maximum of 3VAC. After the
piezoelectric generates a voltage, it must be rectified first by the rectifier to charge the
battery and because the wave is still not perfect, a capacitor is needed to complete the
wave so that the wave becomes more stable. Piezoelectric components will produce a
large amount of power when a large pressure is applied. To make piezoelectric
components durable, a compression spring is needed to withstand the weight of the
pressure applied to the piezoelectric. From the experiment, it was found that the greater
the pressure applied to the Bridge Vibrating Power Plant, the greater the output voltage,
current and power.
