Abstract :
Electricity planning is an important aspect that needs to be done in anticipating the increasing
electricity demand. Electricity planning needs to be balanced with planning for additional equipment
such as transformers and distribution substations in order to obtain optimum service flexibility that is
able to quickly anticipate the growth of the load being served. The ever-increasing peak load makes
AJ Tangerang, which has 119 urban villages, require electrical planning including the addition of
transformers and distribution substations which will be carried out for the next 10 years based on the
projected load growth each year with reference to SPLN 50:1997 which states that the transformer
loading is recommended not more than 80% while the addition of a substation adjusts from the
addition of a transformer. Planning for additional distribution equipment such as transformers and
distribution substations is carried out in order to reduce losses that can occur due to demand for loads
that cannot be served. This electrical system planning is presented using a GUI. GUI is a matlab
program that can present data in a visual form with user friendly features. From the simulation results,
it is found that the peak load requirement until the 10th year in the Belendung AJ Tangerang village
is 1.499 MVA and requires the addition of 2 units of distribution transformers and 2 units of
distribution substations. This planning method can be applied to all kelurahan by referring to the load
growth of each kelurahan, making it easier to carry out electricity planning anywhere and anytime.
