Abstract :
In this study aimed to determine the influence of salt pollutants and soil dust on porcelain
insulators in mountainous areas, the methods used in this study were discharge testing
and breakdown testing of insulators porcelain patterned with soil dust and temperature
state around the test equipment. Based on the results of this study, the massof different
pollutants can affect the value of the discharge voltage and the value of the voltage
breakdown voltage. Mass of dust pollutants and salt is carried out by firstweighing the
mass of soil dust pollutants and salts that want to be given to porcelain insulators,
porcelain insulators in pollutants with 4 samples, 25 grams, 50 grams, 75 grams, 100
grams The results on the insulator test with 25 gram soil dust polluted were 73,57 kV and
in the first test with 50 gram soil dust pollutant the results were 67,64 kV, the decrease
that occurred when the pollutant was present was 6%, it can be concluded from the test
results that The more insulators exposed to pollutants, the lower the breakdown voltage
and discharge test voltage values
