Abstract :
A solar power plant or PLTS is a generator that utilizes energy from the sun which can
be converted into electrical energy that is more environmentally friendly. However, there
are several factors that can cause PLTS not to produce electrical energy optimally, one
of which is the cleanliness of the solar panels which causes the accumulation of dust on
the surface of the solar panels, which can make the solar panels work less than optimally.
Therefore, it requires human labor who must clean the surface of the solar panels every
day to get maximum results. For efficiency or to simplify the cleaning of solar panels, it
is necessary to design an automatic solar panel cleaner that can clean solar panels every
day. In this research, an Automatic Clean System tool will be made. It is said to be
automatic, because programming using Arduino Uno R3 has been set every time there is
an indicator for the solar panel cleaning schedule, the Automatic Clean System tool
automatically cleans the surface of the solar panel. This tool uses a schedule system that
will be controlled by Arduino Uno and will be driven by a DC12V motor. The
experimental results of the Automatic Clean System tool obtained comparative data
between clean and unclean solar panels which can be said to have a difference of up to
5% comparison between current, voltage, and power.
