Abstract :
Solar energy is a source of renewable energy that is abundantly available. With
tropical temperatures, there are many studies that review solar power plants. In this
case, research studies on planning for the construction of off-grid solar power plants
(PLTS) at the Rangkaya Gas Station in North Aceh have never been carried out. The
use of off-grid solar power plants at gas stations is very relevant to be carried out
because there is no dependence on electricity from PLN. The load used at this gas
station is 39,084 Wh. In this case, the solar power plant construction plan is able to
produce power of 15 kW where this power is obtained from the addition of 30% of the
total usage. The planning for the construction of this solar power plant uses a
monocrystal 300 Wp panel type. The use of solar panels in the solar power plant
construction plan is 50 panels, then the batteries used are 96 batteries with
specifications of 12 V 200 Ah, 1 inverter, 1 solar charge controller and 1 combiner box.
The energy that can be produced by this solar power plant per year is 22,012,055 kWh /
Year. The Performance Ratio (PR) of the solar power plant development plan reaches
85% so that it can be said to be feasible. The initial investment in the solar power plant
construction plan amounted to Rp. 837,848,500 with soperational and maintenance
costs per year as much as 1% of the total investment which was 8,378,485. so that the
payback period (Initial Investment Take) with an interest rate of 5% will return within a
period of 12 years and 4 months.
