Abstract :
The use of PLTS in utilizing solar energy sources is a good solution to meet household
electrical energy needs. This research aims and problem formulation is to determine the
analysis of the performance of PLTS Roof for household use in Kartasura, secondly to
inventory the problems that occur in On-Grid PLTS Roof in household purposes, so that
they can provide suggestions related to solving related problems. On-Grid PLTS system
is a generating system using solar radiation to generate electricity, which is connected to
the PLN network by optimizing solar energy through solar modules to generate
electricity. In this study using quantitative analysis methods with data collection, namely
literature studies, field studies, processing data, and analyzing calculations. The average
daily solar radiation is 4.48h. The results of the calculation of the performance ratio
value from February to July are 61.5% on average. In March the highest performance
ratio value was 76% and in July the lowest performance ratio value was 46%. The
resulting value is not good in the formula for the generated energy that is not as it should
be. The surface area of the PV module is 8.685 m2 with the optimal capacity of PLTS
obtained 2.97 kWp and the efficiency value is 20.7%. Factors that affect the value of the
performance ratio on PLTS Roof are irradiation, shading, temperature, and weather as
well as losses.
