Abstract :
At this time the use of computers, LED lights, printers, UPS (Uninterruptible Power
Supplies), ballast lamps (fluorescent lamps), and other electronic equipment are almost
used in all fields. These tools are very helpful for humans to make work easier and more
efficient. But on the other hand, the use of these equipment can also increase the use of
non-linear loads on the customer side which causes harmonics on the power distribution
side to disrupt the electric power distribution system. This study aims to determine the
level of THDi and THDv on transformers FA333 and FA346 so that if it is found that
THDi and THDv exceed the limit, a simulation of repair will be carried out by installing
a passive filter. The THDi and THDv measurement methods were carried out on the three
phases of the FA333 and FA346 transformers using the HIOKI 3286-20 Clamp on hi
tester then simulation of THDi level improvement was carried out using ETAP16
software. S 7.60% and 11.20% T phase. The measurement results on the FA346
transformer obtained THDi values in the R phase of 6.60%, the S phase of 9.10% and the
T phase of 8.20%. After simulating the attenuation of the harmonic filter, the THDi level
in both transformers fell below the IEEE 519-1992 standard, which is less than 8%.
