Abstract :
Batteries are an energy storage medium that is now widely used for various purposes. However, although
widely used batteries have a disadvantage that is low life. Within 5 years the battery has decreased
storage capacity is quite high. This problem is often found in batteries that are not optimized for charging
and discharging energy. This research aims to create a system that can optimize the battery so that the
battery can have a longer life. The provision of maximum and minimum cycles as limits on battery use
and charging is an important factor in the test. Giving cycles affects changes in age and can be seen how
much total battery energy is produced at each cycle setting. From the test obtained when using the 75% -
25% pattern applied to the battery obtained the greatest total energy of 18,106.012 Ah when compared
with other modes. As for the battery that has the longest life with a total battery cycle of 69,513 can be
achieved using the 75% - 65% mode. The results of this study show that the total energy of a large battery
is not necessarily aligned with a high battery cycle. However, from this experiment it was found that by
optimizing the battery can have a longer life.
