Abstract :
Differentian relays are used when there is a disturbance that disrupts the flow of
electricity flowing to consumers. It can be seen if the transformer has a fault then the
thing that is really needed is a protection. One of them is the preparation of plans for
differential relays, differential relays are relays that have reliable properties, selective
fans are fast in working when the settings are carried out optimally. The discussion in
this thesis is to calculate the theoretical differential relay setting and to get the topic of
setting the GI Karet Lama. When making this final project the author uses quantitative
research methods starting from data collection, data processing, so that the results can
be analyzed starting from the slope 1 value of 11.76% and slope 2 of 23.52% so that the
setting current is 0 .0964 A for the value of slope 1 used at the Old Karet substation is
30% and for the value of slpoe 2 is 80%. for the ratio on the 150 kV CT side used is 300:1
and on the 20 kV voltage side the nominal current obtained is 1732.05081 A and the rated
current value is 1905.25589 A, therefore the CT ratio used is 2000 :51A.
