Abstract :
The State of Charge (SoC) and Depth of Discharge (DoD) monitoring methods
on lithium batteries which are widely used in simple devices in everyday life often produce
inaccurate and precise readings so as to provide inaccurate battery condition
information to the user. In this final project, a simple monitoring tool is made using
Arduino with IC voltage reference REF02 to increase accuracy and Analog to Digital
Converter (ADC) ADS1115 to increase the precision of SoC and DoD readings. SoC and
DoD values obtained by the method of reading the voltage and matching it with the
datasheet. From the test results, it can be observed that the reading of the voltage value
with a voltage reference IC shows stable results, in contrast to conditions without a
voltage regulator IC. Meanwhile, the use of 16-bit ADC1115 increases the ability to read
up to 16-bit resolution or 65536. Where if using the internal ADC from Arduino it is only
able to read up to 10-bit resolution or 1024 which this has been proven in this study. SoC
readings have also been proven and the results are able to approach the readings of the
Sanwa CD800a multimeter with a relative error of ±2.95%
