Abstract :
kWh meter is an electrical measuring instrument used to measure and
calculate the value of active energy in energy transactions agreed between PT. PLN
(Persero) with customers in units of kWh (kilowatt hour). Measurements can affect the
level of accuracy on the kWh meter and affect the amount of bills in electricity
consumption. The kWh meter test will be carried out based on a reference using SPLN
D3.009-1: 2020 and SPLN D3.005-1: 2008. The test is carried out by presenting the test
quantities, namely power factor, current variation, temperature and voltage variation.
The test results on the kWh meter, namely in testing the current variation of the prepaid
kWh meter, the smallest value is found in the 0.5 inductive power factor at the Imax
current of 0.13% on the kWh meter smart meter. The postpaid kWh meter is obtained at
a power factor of 1.0 and a power factor of 0.5, the smallest error value is found in the
cannet brand kWh meter. In testing the variation of the prepaid kWh meter the smallest
value is found in the kWh meter smart meter and for the postpaid kWh meter the
smallest value is the kWh meter cannet. In the ageing test for testing the current and
voltage variations, the smallest error is found in the kWh meter smart meter.
