Abstract :
Population growth has made an increasing impact to the sector of housing development
in Jayapura city, it?s also causing the demand for electrical energy also increases. To solve
these problems, it?s necessary to make a planning on low voltage network system. this
planning was made at Mawar Saron housing Jayapura. A planning can be said good, if
the plan can be applied for a long period by considering the load growth factor that could
happen in the future. From the research, it requires 132,800 VA total power to provide
customer needs in the Mawar Saron housing. The costumers can be divided into two
types, which is type 36 with 2200 VA power demand for 32 units and type 21 with 1300
VA power demand for 48 units. So, the capacity of transformer that be used is 250 kVA
with 53.12% of loading percentage and the type of substation that be used in this planning
is a portal substation. The conductor that be used is NFA2X-T 3x95+70 mm2 with 4 rods
of type TR-6 pole, 10 rods of type TR-1 pole, and 4 rods of type TR-3 pole. 9 meters is
the height for each pole and 40 meters is the distance between each pole. So, the length
of the conductor from transformer to the farest pole is 280 meters long. the amount of
drop voltage value in the system is 8,5 V (2,2%). With these results, the voltage drop
value can be said very good. Because according to SPLN 1:1995, the drop voltage values
that can be allowed is +5% and -10% of its nominal voltage.
