Abstract :
The distribution system is an electric power system that distributes electrical energy from
the generator to PLN customers. During the process of distributing electrical energy,
disturbances may occur. These disturbances can cause the loss of some of the voltage
sent by the generator to the customer. This loss of voltage in the distribution of the electric
power system is commonly referred to as a voltage drop. In this study, we will compare
the input voltage and voltage drop from two substations, namely GI Ulee Kareng and GI
Banda Aceh. The comparison in this study will be carried out by calculating the value of
the voltage drop from the sending voltage of the substation to the receiving voltage on
the Abulyatama feeder side. After calculating the value of the voltage drop at these two
substations, different results are obtained. Where the Banda Aceh GI which has a
transmit voltage of 20.1 kV experiences a voltage drop when the voltage reaches the
receiving side of the abulyatama feeder, which is 19.05 kV. And the results of the
calculation of the value of the voltage drop at the GI Ulee Kareng is that the sending
voltage of 20.27 kV sent by the GI Ulee Kareng experiences a voltage drop of
103.3131072 Volts and has a voltage on the receiving side of 20.16 kV when the voltage
reaches the receiving side which is on abuyatama feeder. This proves that the delivery
voltage from GI Ulee Kareng is better than GI Banda Aceh. In the analysis of the
incoming voltage of the Ulee Kareng GI to the abulyatama feeder, a calculation of the
value of the voltage drop on the distribution transformer is also carried out on the
abulyatama feeder. Where after calculating the value of this voltage drop, it can be seen
that the voltage is still in a normal state and does not exceed the predetermined voltage
drop standard.
