Abstract :
The distribution transformer serves to distribute electrical energy from the substation to
the customer. PT. PLN (Persero) as a company providing electrical energy always
strives to provide and provide quality energy for its customers. To maintain the quality
of electrical energy, a reliable distribution system is needed. Then the percentage of
loading on the distribution transformer should not exceed 80% of its capacity, and the
voltage drop received at the customer side should not be more than 5% and less than
10%. At the DS0093 substation, the loading has exceeded 80% based on the SPLN 17 A
1995, which is 97.32% and the largest voltage drop experienced by the DS0093 at PT.
PLN (Persero) UP3 South Bali substation exceeds the PLN standard +5% by 9.59%.
Therefore, to improve the conditions that occur at the DS0093 substation, an insert
transformer with a capacity of 160 kVA is installed using quantitative comparatif
methods and multiple linear regression. From the results of the installation of the load
insertion transformer at the DS0093 substation, it decreased to 40.13% and the voltage
drop value on the customer side became 4.98% and was at the PLN standard and the
correlation value was 0.225 which was included in the low category. Installation of an
insert transformer can be regarded as one of the methods that can be used to overcome
overloads and voltage drops.
