Abstract :
The need for electrical energy is one of the main needs for society. In the process of distributing electrical energy to customers, it is found that there is a difference in the value of electrical energy distributed to the value of electrical energy sold. The difference in the amount of electrical energy is caused by energy losses or losses. Energy losses or losses are the loss of a certain amount of electrical energy that occurs during the process of distributing electrical energy, this can be seen from the difference in the value of electrical energy sent to the value of electrical energy received. Due to the location of the Wates Feeder which is located in the urban area of Yogyakarta, the Wates Feeder is sought so that the value of energy losses that occur is relatively small, so that it does not result in large losses for PLN. The research methodology used is the Quantitative Method with a comparative approach. The calculation method used to calculate the value of energy loss that occurs is using the difference in energy value equation (kWh) and the Jogja Formula, but the results of the calculation using the Jogja Formula are considered more accurate. Based on the calculation results of the Jogja Formula, the energy loss value that occurred during the 2020 period was 7,539.16 kWh, with an average of 628.27 kWh and a percentage loss of 0.55% during the LWBP and 6,982.37 kWh, with an average an average of 581.87 kWh and a percentage loss of 0.51% at the time of WBP. During the period of 2021, the value of energy loss that occurred was 15,483.26 kWh, with an average of 1,290.28 kWh and a percentage of loss of 0.54% during the LWBP and of 14,339.77 kWh, with an average of 1,194.99 kWh and a percentage of shrinkage 0.67% at the time of WBP. The results of the calculation of the value of energy losses that occur during the period 2020 to 2021 are still below the standard of SPLN 72: 1987, which is 5%.
