Abstract :
In measuring electrical energy consumption at 20 kV customers at PT. PLN UP3 Kebon
Jeruk in the last 5 years there have been findings on Current Transformers (CT) that do not
work according to the standard used, namely IEC 60044-1. The current transformer no
longer meets the standard when there are deviations and error values that occur during
measurements which are caused by ratio errors and saturation in the CT. To be able to find
out that CT works according to the standards used, it is necessary to test on CT using a CTAnalyzer. This research was conducted using quantitative methods with a comparative
quantitative approach. In this study, CT tests were carried out before operation and during
operation for approximately 3 years with a class 0.2s current transformer with a ratio of
40/5 A using a CT-Analyzer on the value of excitation characteristics and ratios. The results
for testing the ratio on current transformers with operation for approximately 3 years have
error values ranging from 0.07% to 0.09%, while for the saturation value of the current
transformer core in each phase of Vk (5.328) and for the value of Vs ( 4.0313), in the S phase
the value of Vk (5.219) and for the value of Vs (3.7533) and in the T phase the value of Vk
(5.254) and for the value of Vs (3.4851), where the resulting value still meets the standard.
