Abstract :
Load imbalances in transformers can cause losses in the transformer.and
overload (overload) in the transformer can also cause losses in the transformer.
Therefore, this study was conducted to find out what causes the occurrence
oftransformer rug i and how to overcome it. The research method used is a quantitative
method. Researchers used dua event to lower the losses of the first transformer by
uprating the transformer and the side of the transformer. The results showed that after
uprating the transformer, it became better, namely in the T9 transformer by 0.641 kw
0.961 kvar, at T10 by 0.888 kw 1.33 kvar on T74 to 1.42 kw 2.14 kvar, at T75 to 0.439
kw 0.659 kvar, at T95 to 0.388 kw 0.582 kvar and on T101 to 0.388 kw 0.582 kvar .
With the second method, namely the loss transformer insert on the transformer before
the transformer insertion on the T9 Transformer was 1.54 kw 2.31 kvar and on the T10
it was 2.15 kw 3.22 kvar and after the transformer insertion was carried out it became
better, namely on the T9 transformer of 0.661 kw 0.992 kvar and in the T10 transformer
of 0.622 kw 0.932 kvar. Thus, it can be concluded that the uprating of the transformer
and the insert of the transformer is effective in lowering the loss on the transformer
caused by overload on the transformer.
