Abstract :
The distribution transformer for the substation PJ129 with the kuta feeder has an
unbalanced load. The load imbalance can result in power losses and a decrease in the
efficiency of the transformer. This study aims to determine the load imbalance, power
losses and transformer efficiency and provide recommendations for load balancing.
This research method uses quantitative methods, calculating the percentage of loading
and also using load balancing simulation methods using the ETAP 16.0.0 application.
From the results of the study, the percentage of imbalance was 33.16%. The amount of
losses before balancing the load is 4.6 kW and then after balancing the load it becomes
4.1 kW. For the efficiency before the load is balanced by 93.02% after the load is
balanced it becomes 96.60%.
