Abstract :
Based on the RUPTL 2021-2030 there is a plan for a 2x11 MW wind power plant in the
Timor system which is planned to operate in 2024. Analysis such as load flow simulation,
transient stability and power output intermittent is needed to find out how big the impact
on the voltage, frequency and rotor angle of the generator in the Timor system. The
research method for simulating load flow and transient stability for the installation of a
2x11 MW wind power plant on the Timor System was carried out with Digsilent software.
Based on the results of the load flow simulation, the installation of a 2x11 MW wind
power plant in the Timor system at the Nonohonis and Kefamenanu substations can
improve voltage quality and reduce losses in both the 70 and 150 kV systems. In
accordance with the transient stability simulation results, the frequency value in the
Timor system still meets the grid code requirements, which is in the range of 49.0 ? 51.0
Hz. The simulation results of the intermittent impact of wind power output from 22 MW
to 21.9 MW in 9 seconds show that the Timor system is still in a stable condition with the
lowest frequency value is 49.999 Hz and the highest frequency value is 50.00014 Hz. The
angular stability of the generator rotor in the Timor system when simulating the transient
stability and intermittent power output of the wind power plant shows that it is still in a
balanced condition.
