Abstract :
Substation is a very vital part of the electric power system. Air Insulated Substation requires a large
space to obtain sufficient distance between the equipment and the ground. GI 150 kV Mantang
requires the addition of 2 Line Bays (LB) due to the plan for the construction of SUTT 150 kV GI
Mataram ? GI Mantang according to RUPTL 2021-2030, but there is limited land for the construction
of the 2 LBs so a special design is needed to be able to connect the new busbar to the existing one.
This study aims to determine the layout of the Mantang Ext GI and the equipment installed in
accordance with applicable standards as evidenced by simulations on DigSilent. The methods used
in this research are qualitative and quantitative methods. The layout design is in accordance with the
applicable standards, namely SPLN T5.001-1:2008 and IEC 61936-1 so that it is safe to operate. The
equipment to be installed is stated in the BOQ including CB 2000 A 40 kA 2 sets, DS 1250 A 40 kA 4
sets, CT 6 units, CVT 6 units and LA 20 kA 6 units. The results of the DigSilent simulation before and
after the addition of 2 LB are the short circuit current on the GI 150 kV Mantang busbar from 4.6 kA
to 59.9 kA, the power on the busbar from 26.4 MW to 35.9 and grid losses from 9.34 MW to 9.06
MW.
