Abstract :
The quality of voltage integrity on electrical system has to be maintained in a specific value (-10 to +5%). In Timor System of PT PLN (Persero) UIW NTT, they experienced a drop voltage on 70kV transmission line due its length of distribution line and centralized power plant system in western area (Kupang). Appropriate installation of the capacitor could improve the voltage integrity of Timor system. The research was run using a loadflow analysis through Digisilent software application to determine an optimum location and specified value for capacitor installation. Drop voltage on a single capacitor installation method will get an optimum result for up to 1,66 kV on Atambua Substation. In contrast, the double capacitor installation method could achieve up to 1,55 kV on Atambua and Nonohonis substations, respectively.
